What does it mean to be a woman? Many would assume being a woman revolves around cooking for the family, bathing the baby, cleaning the house etc. well, I'm here to tell you that you're wrong. Maybe this might've been the norm for olden day generations, but times have changed. Nowadays, we find women to be empowered, unchained, confident, encouraged and dominating in the "mans field". I am proud to belong to such an indestructible sisterhood of women all around the globe.
Being a woman goes beyond the laws of biology, and maybe even exceeded looking at gender as a social construct. Some may disagree with me on this, and it is fine - everyone is entitled to their own conceptions of reality, but in mine, I truly believe that a "woman" is someone headstrong in her thoughts and pro-active in her venture.
I think one of the most disturbing traits of human nature is to categorize and stereotype people, which is evident in the worlds perception of a woman. By now you might have already summed up myself to be a feminist type of woman - I don't blame you for thinking this way, society has trained us to identify each other like this.
Society has brainwashed us into thinking that women need to smell a certain smell, look a certain look, talk a certain talk and act a certain act. The slightest influence from a cover-girl depicts to the mind an ideal version of what a woman is, and after constant exposure to these influences, our mind slowly starts to believe it - it is of course far from the truth, and by far the most absurd thing a human can do.
The first a foremost attribute of deeming someone a woman is to recognize their "human" - and by this I mean, to acknowledge her level of humility, kindness, morals and ethics, and if they're pure and whole, then in my eyes is she a woman.
Being a woman means wearing your heart on your sleeve - for some odd reason there has been a negative stigma attached to being "too emotional", which to an extent is true, but showing compassion and our emotions is what makes us unique. Embracing our feelings allows us to reach mental happiness - which is key to success!
Being a woman means being a trailblazer - there is room for women as visionaries, innovators and revolutionists. All it takes is a woman with a voice to make way for a troop of ladies ready to change the world.
Being a woman means being proud - Women are beautiful creations that God knew would outdo themselves in all fields they enter! If God had that much faith in you, trust in yourself as a woman that all your fears and limitations are fabricated by disbelief from not only others but by yourself as well! Wear your gender with the highest level of respect and love.
I love being a woman, and I love the woman that I am becoming. I especially enjoy debunking the idea of women being inferior to men. There is a colony of empowered women out there, watch out world! Its time for the women to play ...
